oh the aesthetics of garden bed lengths. Wicking beds so 60-70cm high, with a comfortable 70cm reach width. Do I do two short ones with a potted tree between? a contiguous length? oh the quandries!
Contiguous length for water conservation. Fewer evaporate surfaces. You can always put a barrier between two sections if you want to isolate them.
Wicking beds don't have evap surfaces though. It's a sip, not aquaponics
Good point. Didn't know that about wicking beds. Any easily available info on these? Sounds like something I would like to know more about.
Lots, they're basically raised beds with the bottom 30cm dedicated to a lined reservoir. Very easily scavenged build. https://www.bunnings.com.au/diy-advice/garden/planting-and-growing/how-to-build-a-wicking-bed
Thanks heaps. This is an interesting development.
