There is so much that confuses me about this country... The Voice, the tax breaks, the constant bickering between polparties.

But the next thing that confuses me is the 1.7 billion dollar upgrade to that vic market thingy in the city, you know, the city? the place with drug addicts, homeless people, mentally sick people and the like?

surely 1.7 billion can go towards fixing that instead of upgrading a freaking market. but oh well. this is Melbourne, go danny boyyyy.

The market upgrade includes public amenities. They're building a community centre, a maternal health clinic and a library on site.

I've spent the last year or two watching them do it

It was rezoned by the city council ( not dan ) as a tourist precinct a few years ago. 🤷‍♀️ What tourists and how much bloody coffee can a tourist drink? Of course now the people who live in the CBD have one less place to do household shopping.

It does include amenities for residents. They're building a maternal health clinic, a library and a community centre on site

I live there. I've been watching it go up.
