Oh sorry you're right mods shouldn't do anything to try and make a leftist trans space more welcoming to people ๐Ÿ™„ silly me. I'll just ban anything I don't like and abuse my power rather than wanting to have a discussion. We'll also go back to calling things "gay" to mean undesirable because it was colloquialism. Words don't matter, right? /s

Etymological fallacy

I had never heard that other definition of lame until right now. it's extremely removed from it. but gay still meant and means homosexual

imo that only gives it the power to hurt people again

I've literally been called lame for being unable to walk after I cracked my pelvis. Just because the majority of the US has a 6th grade reading level doesn't mean words don't mean what they mean. Fallacy fallacy

๐Ÿ˜ i can assure you i don't have a 6th grade reading level. i guess that "discussion" you mentioned is just hurling insults and being defensive. must've been an old ass person or something, im not the only one with this sentiment at all. not ever even hearing of it doesn't count for anything?

and in regards to your link... i did not imply that fallacy means you're automatically incorrect. it was a supporting argument backs with other points.

When you intentionally misinterpret people and childishly insult them, as you have done to others in this thread, you debase them more than if you used a word with a "problematic" etymology because you're attacking them directly. When you use histrionics, however, you debase yourself.
