I am thinking about tanks, explain.

"Tankie" is a pejorative used against Marxists, though I've seen it even used against Anarchists these days.

Comrade Hakim made a great video explaining the origins of the term and exploring how it is used.

Might as well just link directly to the CIA homepage if you're going to use wikipedia as a reference for leftist politics and history

The iconic Tiananmen square "Tank man" photo, where one guy stands in front of a column of tanks on their way to slaughter pro-democracy protesters, briefly stopping them. Tankies are lunatics that wish for authoritarian communism and so unironically support the tanks running him over.

Not the origin of the word.

This dates back to Hungarian revolution in 1956 and tanks being deployed by USSR.

Where the fuck do you libs get your misinformation from?

That's not where the term comes from.

Lmao "running him over?" The video shows him walking away completely unscathed, after they let him into the tank to talk. The tanks were also leaving the square, not entering it. That's also not where the term comes from.

Libs will do literally zero research about something they build their entire identity around

What happened before that? During the Tiananmen Square protests and massacre.
