Wasn’t this supposed to be a trilogy? We got Covenant, where’s the third movie?

I'm case you are honestly asking, it came out in August. Aliens: Romulus

[–] MrScottyTay@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 hours ago

Romulus is not a prequel though

[–] Mongostein@lemmy.ca 1 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Oh, I didn’t think that was it.

I thought Ridley Scott was supposed to direct all 3 prequels and that Romulus was set after Alien 3

I think the chronology doesn't make it less of a trilogy, even if confusing.

Not sure about him supposedly directing them out just being involved was intended.

I think he just wanted to be get involved more in the direction of the franchise but am not certain

Huh. Yeah I haven’t followed it that closely, but I seem to remember talk around the releases of those movies that they were part of a trilogy of Ridley Scott directed prequels.

Maybe I’m misremembering, and I haven’t seen Romulus yet, but it doesn’t seem like part of that trilogy from the trailers. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, after Aliens (I like it better than the first one) the franchise went downhill. I still like the newer movies, but that James Cameron guy really seems like he knows a thing a two about how to make a good movie.
