I really want to go to one of their conventions and ask them if they've ever heard of Ernst Rohm.

This Ernst Röhm?

On 30 June 1934, the entire SA leadership were purged by the SS during an event known as the Night of the Long Knives. Röhm was taken to a prison in Munich and executed on 1 July.

the guy who didn't just feed his face to a leopard but bred the leopard's parents, and fed others faces to leopards.

he was even out of the party, but of course Hitler convinced him to come back. I don't feel sorry for him. I'm incapable of feeling sorry for the log cabin either.

I never went down the rabbit hole like this entry led me down in regards to Hitlers consolidation of power. Their are striking similarities to Trump. I bet this stuff would read like a fantasy novel to him. I was always fairly dismissive of comparisons due to how absurd they sound but like I said, theirs some very striking and concerning similarities. Reading the entry for the night of long knives was chilling.

Check out Behind the Bastards podcast for some more. Robert Evans does a great job making it all digestible and spicy. He and his guests riff on everything, so much so it can get uncomfortable, but that is part of their charm. Here is a surprise rabbit hole episode on Nazis and a what I thought was modern conspiracy
