Great gods! I expect this crap here in the US, but I thought you guys had more sense.
Seriously, I’m so sorry to hear that you have to deal with the crazies too.
The uninformed conservative public believes that curing addiction is simply a matter of forcing people not to take drugs until they are no longer addicted. They like the punitive aspect of it, because they see becoming addicted in the first place as a moral failing.
Conservatives the world over seem to share their worst ideas among themselves.
Fascism can happen anywhere.
