I've been a huge motorsports fan for decades, and am now interested in getting into gaming. Basic setup: laptop (brand new, not specifically for gaming but definitely has the hardware), plan on using a controller at first, may invest in wheel/pedals in the future. It's mainly for fun, nothing serious.

Question: What is the difference between Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, and Forza Motorsport? And should I invest in any or all of the above?

Thank you in advance 👍🏼

I recently purchased 3x43" Samsung Neo G7 for my rig and I'm having all sorts of trouble getting them to work.

I have a 3090Ti and plenty of grunt to run them. The previous screens were 3x2K@240 + 1x 34"ultrawide and I could run all 4 screens no problem.

When I try to enable 3rd screen with 2 of the Neo G7s enables the video card will disable one of the existing 2 at random,

Blah blah blah....

I've decided to ditch the Neo G7s in favor of some other vendor with the same screen size, but I'm looking for help figuring out what i should go for.

TL;DR

Anyone out there with 3x43 screen care to tell me their HWare combo so I can see at least some options which are known to work fine?

First time sim racer here, got simple little setup. CSL DD and an F1 wheel after getting into motorsports for the past year.

I've never worn a VR headset (Q2) for more than a half hour / hour playing something like Half Life etc. It's not that I'm bored with it it's just that after a bit, I'm sort of done until the next time I decide I want to play.

Enter sim racing... I can't stop. I got this bundle on Monday and yesterday for example I played from 5pm until 3am. I had NO idea it was that late, none. I couldn't believe it. I'm not a teenager, I don't spend hours playing games or watching movies, never have. I'm blown away by how immersed I've gotten.

I'm worried it might become a real addiction or that it will affect my eyesight. Anybody have real issues long term? Or is it just kind something that might wear off?

Been thinking of getting into sim racing and my only options are a 2nd Hand Logitech G29+Shifter VS a PXN V9 Steering wheel+Shifter

The two difference of both being that one has force feedback and the other doesnt, and the absurd pricing between them

Is the Force Feedback Feature really worth it for a good sim racing experience?

Hi guys,

I‘ve played racing games for nearly all my life. I also had a small regional „reallife“ career in karting when I was a kid, but then shifted to handball. I‘m still a car guy and drive a BMW M2 as a daily, which I enjoy a lot. I also went to Nordschleife Nürburgring a few months ago. But I also want to get better with the real life car, especially in pedal dosing.

I now want to shift from playing GT7 and F1 2023 on PS5 with my Controller to a medium level setup.

Budget is not really the limiting factor here but I believe simracing will only be a casual hobby besides all the adult responsibilities. I want to have a good setup but don’t want to burn money. I want to stick to my PS5. I want to pay 1.000 and 2.000€ unless there are good reasons to pay a little more.

What I learned until now is that I want to have a solid rig including tilted seat, a dd wheel and probably load cell breaking pedal. I also play other game types sometimes so I would like to play them from that seat or want the possibility to turn the screen. Screen should be a 30 to 50 inch 4K 60hz+.

Logitech Pro seems to be a „no-brainer“ for me, as everything is coming from one hand and Germany also. They also have a matching Playseat. But I had a look at fanatec also but they have a lot of products and not always PS5 support?

tl;dr: first simrig for PS5, budget 2000€, mostly GT7 or F1, maybe ACC, more of a casual hobby than professional use. Which setup to buy?

Playseat is used (got it off Facebook) and in okay condition

Have M6 screws and bolts included.

Everything fully boxed.

P.S. will upload pictures after work.

P.P.S (lol): Will also list on eBay (on Friday due to seller fee offer) and post the link if you want to buy via there for piece of mind.

N.B. please note mark on the bottom of the CSL DD was me being careless when trying to line up the holes...

Hi,

As the title suggests, I’m wondering if I should get glove. I use the KS wheel from moza, I don’t know what the handles are made of.

In your experience, is gloves really useful? I don’t want to wake up one day end realize that the handles on my wheel are completely worn off because of my greasy hands.

Hi there.

Recently, I've considered the option of buying a new wheel, specifically a T300. I would like to purchase it to step my game, after playing for several years with the T150, which by the way still works fine so far, despite the clamp screw that got destroyed.

The purpose of this post is to ask you - T300 users - your opinion about the T300 itself. Like, what are your thoughts about the wheel, the good aspects, the bad aspects, the issues that come along, the strength points, weak points, how the wheel lasts in the long term, if you would advise it etc.

Any answer will be gladly appreciated.

Thank you for your attention!

Like the title says, I’m looking at getting a better/newer rig. I’m currently using my roommate’s old Thrustmaster T-series (can’t remember exactly which one but it’s over 6 years old and gear driven).

My budget is about $1500 USD for a wheel, base, and pedals. Definitely looking for DD in the base. The less money I can spend the better; value is key.

Currently considering the Fanatec CSL given the deal on it right now (despite the bad CS Fanatec is known for). Not sure if the CSL 3 pedal setup is right for me though. I’m not married to this idea though, could definitely look at other options.

I mostly do Dirt 2.0 but would like to also start running AC, GT 7, Beam NG, and start doing iRacing.

Any alternative recommendations are appreciated!
