I was wondering if anyone could recommend or suggest a good backpack/carrying case for my node 202 pc.

Will this gpu fit? it seems to be a tiny bit over spec

Gpu - 269 x 134 x 41 mm, 2.1-slot

H1 - Length Allowance: 305 mm

Height Allowance: 128 mm

Clearance of 2.5 slots

Linked is my current build minus the case and psu. I was considering the Fractal Ridge but then saw the SGPC K29 (much cheaper)

Edit: Just saw the case does not fit GPUs. What other small, nice looking cases could you recommend instead?

What PSU, MoBo and cooler would you suggest? The case isn't on PCPP for some reason..

Thanks

I have an A4 H2O and I'm going to be putting a 40-series GPU inside that uses the 12vhpwr connecter. I'm looking for 12vhpwr cables that will fit and won't melt or come unplugged. I suppose it doesn't have to be 90 degrees, as long as the bend required won't cause the connector to melt.

The PSU I have is the Corsair SF750, and some options I've found are the 90 degree cables from Cablemod and Moddiy, as well as the straight cable from corsair directly. Are there any other cables that would work?

edit: It's worth mentioning that I'm in the UK, so it would be preferrable to have the cable shipped from within the country, or somewhere closeby so that shipping doesn't take an eternity

The current cost-benefit for AMD mobo+cpu+memory… which generation?

I got 850w psu and RX 6650 xt gpu, thinking of upgrading my mobo/cpu/memory (probably itx) this year. Heaviest use will likely be VR. I was thinking something like 7600 cpu (because free stock cooler) + B650 asrock or msi wifi + the cheapest compatible memory 2x8gb (or 2x16 if the upgrade is negligible) But now I wondered, is it really worth the cost? By the time I need to upgrade the rig again I’ll probably need to upgrade everything anyway (except psu fosho) and a DDR5 will probably produce negligible gains for gaming… so, for a coherent upgrade… What would be your recommendation for a comparable AM4 build? Is AM5 still a better investment at the same price as AM4? What would be the reason?

I am building a new PC, plan to buy an ASUS ASUS ROG Strix Z690-I or Z790-I motherboard with a M.2 heatsink deck. When I check out M.2 SSDs, I found that Samsung 990 pro w/ heatsink is even cheaper than the one without it. And it seems that the heatsink is not removable?

So I wonder if M.2 SSD with heatsink can fit into the deck?

Through some mm shifting, I managed to get the BR on my 7800x3d, but looking at good alternatives that provide better temps. Are there any slim alternatives that are better than the BR yet?

I'm looking to build something pretty extreme, and I'm not 100% which case is going to be right for me. I really like the size / shape of the nr200p, but it's probably near impossible to do what I want to do in that case. I have the msi 4090 watercooled version, and a 13900k which I was hoping to cool with a 280mm aio BUT was also considering going with a nhd15 for fit reasons, even though I'd have to undervolt it then.

Any good case recommendations would be amazing, something close to the size and shape of the nr200p but maybe slightly bigger? this isn't my first PC build but getting this kind of hardware into a SFF case would be excellent.

My most major concern is it’s weight as I want to travel around with my sffpc with me. The check in luggage limit is 7kgs on most airlines, assuming I have 2 kgs of other stuff I bring with me, I got 5kgs left to work with.

Is it possible to get a decent 1440p gaming build in under 5kgs/11lbs?

Thermal throttling in cinebench with -0.05V undervolt. The one core is always cooler than the others under max load for some reason (confirmed across multiple installs)

I also have installed a thermalright 1700 ILM and as far as games go, I haven't experience any thermal throttling there.

I want to do an air cooled build, but I also don’t want to sacrifice performance to do so.

Planning this 2000d build and I have the mobo, RAM, and nvme drive already. Everything else is up for discussion.

Will I fry this 13700k, or am I good to go buying this as currently planned?

If I need an AIO, are there any around $130 you’d recommend?

I'm waiting for the right time to upgrade my GPU, but I'm not sure if I should wait for the next generation or maybe just a good sale. I think I want my next GPU to be something pricy that I'll keep for years to come, but probably still under $1000 (in America) not including the water block.

Currently, I have an AMD Radeon RX 5700 under a Heatkiller 4 water block and it is paired with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D under an Optimus PC water block. I'm planning on keeping the motherboard and CPU for several more years and I'm finally happy with my case and cooling setup too. It is surprisingly quiet given there are 7 140mm fans and a pump. I think the fan on the power supply may be the noisiest part.

My second desktop. My monitor is to the left on another desk. They're both Ikea bamboo desktops. The headphones are a Meze 99 Noir plugged into a Schiit stack.

I'll get some custom cables to clean up that dangling fan controller one day. I'll probably do custom power cables then too. Everything connecting the radiator to the PC is extra long so I can move things around.

I can put the side panel on, but the NVMe gets hot, so I have a fan pointed at it for now. I may get a water block for it too one day.. maybe.

The pump has a drain valve on it. I'll attach a hose and drain it into a bucket under my desk when I change the coolant

The radiator and pump are attached via quick disconnects so I can take it off for maintenance fairly easily. That is an Optimus pump and reservoir.

If you have any other tips or suggestions I'd be happy to have them. I know the big radiator paired with a small case is funny, but I like it. I used to have a big tower and decided to break it into three parts just because I can, but I do like being able to turn the external HDD enclosure off most of the time.

The build:

This is my first time attempting at building a PC so I need some advice on whether the parts I picked make sense. Main concerns I have is whether everything is going to fit in the case and whether I am missing anything.

I am trying to optimize for gaming at 4k but I don't want to go any higher than a 4080. I picked the Ridge because I want a small form factor and something that looks good. The Terra looks good too but I read that it might be less space to work with and harder to keep cool.

Any advice is appreciated
