Hey all!

... my question mostly concerns the 'twinax' part of the riser's being, which has me in a way, and which I've tried to give likeness to in the below illustrations.

The Loque is single-reverse, but its non-inverse end is alledgedly pliant and braidable given its individually-braided construction. Loque's site touts it to be dual-reverse - the promise of which doesn't help. I am coming from a Phanteks 300mm, likewise 4.0 riser that failed me mid-assembly, just on account of the fact that it was 180 deg adapted and shielded and it wasn't one to be bent. I am hoping the the Cobalt is going to be a marked improvement over this, and would like DA6 users and the LOQUE Cobalt's users' combined input - or god forbid someone who's dabbled with both and is simultaneously both, for this. I've been advised on r/LOQUE that while single reverse, the Cobalt should work in applications that otherwise ask for a double reverse, but in this instance I also didn't provide specifics, like that I wanted to see to it that it's used in the DA6 XL.

Much thanks for the help.

With the NR200 being $40 off on Newegg I figured I'd make a move on it instead of the MATX build I was originally going towards. Not to mention I really would like to get the most out of the smallest footprint possible. I've not looked into ITX builds before so I'm looking for any feedback you all could provide.

Seeing that you can squeeze a Peerless Assassin in here was very appealing to me. Plan is to place both the Noctua's on top for exhaust. 4080 would pull from the bottom with the CPU Cooler pulling from the sides. Curious if there are any holes in my thinking here.

Hi all - I've just ordered a Formd T1 and will be pulling the trigger on the rest of the parts once it arrives. I'm hoping the brains trust here could run a sense check on my parts list and let me know if there are any obvious problems / optimisations.

  • CPU: 7600X
  • Cooler: NH-L9i
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte b650i aorus ultra
  • Memory: G.Skill Z5 DDR5 32GB 6000
  • GPU: Initially 2060 Super then, in time, 4080
  • Storage: 2 x Sata III Samsung Evo 860 (already own these hence why I'm not currently contemplating m.2 sticks)
  • Case: Formd T1 v2
  • Case Fan x 2: NF-A14
  • PSU: Corsair SF750

In case anyone is thinking it, in my jurisdiction it seems like going for the 5800x3D over the 7600x is only marginally cheaper so I figured I may as well adopt the AM5 platform now.

First SFF Build. Would appreciate some advice. Will be playing games in 1440p 165hz max settings 100+ fps. Worried about thermals in such a small case but I love the aesthetics of this case. Willing to sacrifice noise for better thermals.

Any better cpu cooler recs? Heard the nh-l9a is pretty lacking but unsure what other options would be better that would fit clearance wise.

Will the sf750 be enough? Worried 750w psu isn't enough especially with how much I hear the 7900xtx draws. Do I need to upgrade to 850w?

Anything else I should be looking out for?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I want a new mini pc for light office work - word, adobe, and e-mails.

I'm in the air between building my own min with an H610i gigabyte mobo DDR5 ram and an i5-12400f and rx 6400 or just buying a geekom AS6 or IT12. Difference in price is almost non existent vs time of building.

Am I really saving anything by building my own anymore and any suggestions for another model base on needs?

Hello,

My Corsair SF750 power supply is barely a year old and has now a faulty capacitor. I noticed that the temperature of the power supply was quite warm to the touch and that the fan was not turning. I know there's a 0db mode and that the fan turns when the power supply delivers 300W, but I rarely reach them.

For example, I spent the day gaming, my GPU and CPU at 50-55°c for over 8 hours. Total consumption of 180W.

Can the "high" ambient temperature in the case damage the power supply?

Main concern for me is the CPU temperature. Will the big shuriken 3 be sufficient? I there any way to add a case fan? Thanks!

for the context of sffpc, I'm using meshlicious case installed with 280mm liquid freezer II AIO. Yes, it is possible to fit thick radiator, thick fans, and rigid pipe into this case. BUT with few caveats, I cannot close the side panel on CPU chamber unless with force, and I worry about it leaking. It also took extra space on CPU chamber so I have to be very creative on GPU cable routing.

I choose this AIO because based on reviews I read 2 years ago, this is the most powerful AIO out there and it did not disappoint. Now I just want to have peace of mind, cleaner and sleeker build, and more space in GPU chamber to support 4 slot gpu (if I decided to grab one).

I know that liquid freezer, krakens, and corsairs are top performers but that was 2 years ago and I need to know the details of the pipe/cable that most of the reviewers ignore.

so, I'm looking for a replacement for my current AIO with these criterias:

  1. easily bendable pipes, just like they did with my old kraken X41

  2. 280mm radiator

  3. I prefer no RGB, but I can live with it

  4. performance similar to what I have right now

  5. pipe on pump unit that can be rotated/adjusted, again like my old kraken X41

thanks :)

Hello, I‘ve never seen something like this but wouldnt it make sense to diy and improve the GPU Temps and Noise? I mean it should be pretty cheap. Lian Li A4 H2O MSI Ventus 3X 4080

Supposedly a lot of the AMD itx boards seem have coil whine, which is steering me away from the platform.

But do the Intel boards like the Asus z690i have it?

Also does it have a small fan like the other equivalent AMD boards?

I am looking to make my first sffpc and really like the NZXT H1 V2 case. I read a lot that the thermals are not good but is that dependent on which GPU you get? I was looking at RX6700 and intel i7 12700. I will mostly use it for some gaming and mostly watching movies. Will the default coolers be good enough?

Also for the fan noise, a lot of ppl mention it is due to the PSU fan. Does getting a new PSU really make that much of a difference. If so, which PSU is recommended? TIA

According to Fractal's compatibility spec, you have 62mm of GPU height and 48mm of CPU cooler height in max GPU mode. This is a total of 110 mm.

Reasonable enough, but what doesn't add up to me are these 2 builds: Robeytech & Gear Seekers. Both of them have a 4090 FE (a 61mm card that is 137mm wide), which means that they should only have about 49 mm for their CPU cooler. However, they both use taller coolers (the IS-55 from the former is 57mm tall and the Shuriken 2 from the latter is 58mm tall). That's 9-10 more mm of clearance than Fractal is saying is there.

Given that the case total width is 153 mm this isn't a very outlandish discrepancy, but it was still odd to me; that much extra cooler room would allow for much more robust cooling (i.e. the IS-55). Perhaps there's a disadvantage to using that much of the internal space?

Hi, I'm thinking about upgrade my old atx tower, and get more space in my secretary. lately I'm getting drawn to the velka case 3, so I decided I should give a try and build myself a new computer manly for gaming and for some minor task likes exce, wordl and zoom calls/ discord Unfortunately can't use anything from my old pc Gpu to big and honestly old (gtx 660); Cpu is a 1st gen ryzen 5; Motherboard and psu is for a full atx, so it won't work for this build; The only thing i might use is an old ssd from Samsung, although I'm going to buy a m.2 either way. For the build, I'm not feeling like spending too much. I just need a good setup for 1080p

This is the parts that I'm inclined to buy

Case is going to be a velka 3, I love how small this case is Do anyone have a good company in Europe that sells this case?

Psu, it's between Enhance ENP-7660B - Or the FX600 -

I read that 7660b we can change the fan and that makes less sound

What do you guys think?

Hey all - I am planning on upgrading from my 970 and very old i5 from many years ago to a SFF pc build in the Fractal Terra case. Planning on buying all of my components later today buy it's been a long time since I've built a PC so I would really appreciate a second set of eyes on my build before I hit purchase on all the parts. See below:

CPU: Intel Core i5-13600KF* (*I was considering an i7 13700k instead)

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L12 Ghost S1 37.8 CFM CPU Cooler* (*a little worried about temps and fit in the case, would appreciate reassurance / other suggestions)

Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B760-I GAMING WIFI Mini ITX LGA1700 Motherboard

Memory: Kingston FURY Beast 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5600 CL36 Memory

Storage: Kingston KC3000 1.024 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive

GPU: Asus DUAL GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB Video Card* (*this or the FE?)

Case: Fractal Terra in Jade

PSU: Asus ROG LOKI 850 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply

Price: ~$1800

Planning on using this primarily for 1440p gaming (e.g., BG3), some light productivity, watching streams / movies / lots of tabs open. Would really appreciate your thoughts and thanks so much!

Does anyone have any experience using this case? It seems rare, but perfect for me. I am hoping to find it used, in the all aluminum black colourway.

What are the Pros and Cons of this case? How is the quality? Ease of use?

Any information would be helpful! Thanks!
