I just wanted to pose a question about the next video released on the main channel.

There's an interesting discussion ongoing in the Floatplane comments about the exclusives the Social Team asked about yesterday. It seems that some people are happy for them to be released immediately, others think it's a bad move. In any case, LMG have decided to sit on them for the time being.

So that got me thinking about the next video released on the main channel. Ignoring any possible 'update' videos they release regarding any upcoming changes, do you think the next 'normal' video should be something that was already in the pipeline or do you think they should come up with something that feels a little more appropriate?

My thoughts are that it would be strange if the next video were to contain a lot of the usual humour, sound effects and pacing that LTT videos usually have. It feels like an opportunity just do dial things back just a notch or two. You don't go bungee jumping the day after recovering from the flu.

No agendas here. I'm just genuinely interested in hearing people's thoughts on what kind and what tone of video LTT should release next? A return to scheduled programming or something a little bit more subdued?

I've seen this sentiment floating around, and I don't think it is correct. PR doesn't fix any internal processes, it's only role it to lie and mislead the public.

I kinda feel some people don't want to face the realities with what Linus (may) have become. They have a mental pedestal they've built, and confronting that it may not be accurate is scary.

Let Linus speak his heart freely. Then judge as you well.

The truth may not be pretty, but it is preferable to celebrating a facade.

Linus basically got me into this whole hobby. I knew fuck all about computers, but he animated me to get into this and learn a ton of shit. Now I am running NAS servers I built with ECC memory and whatnot like it's nobody's business and I pretty much have LMG to thank for getting me into this.

Luckily, YouTube's also algorithm'd me to other channels so while I will be missing entertainment from LMG, I will still be informed by other tech channels, that are usually more focused and niche to the subject I've grown into.

This clip is taken from the latest channel super fun video where Dennis tries to be Vance (Linus' assistant). In this very clip, vance tells about his condition and is being given number of days off easily if he wants to take. I just found this while watching the video today.
