A wonderful close read of the complexities of the ending of We Could Be So Good by Cat Sebastian, bringing in the concept of "queer time."

#WhatchaReading ? , Though only published in 2018, Lights and Sirens by Lisa Henry has sadly aged like milk, at least for this American. A cop throwing his weight around, even to protect his boyfriend, does not fly. There's an interesting arc for the other MMC, a paramedic who's mentally overloaded by too many horrific accidents, but it's all kind of brushed over in the end, and the romance also happens way too quickly.

Possibly my favorite line from The Sleeping Soldier: "what do you people have against punctuation, Caleb? You haven't *lived* till you've used a dash and a semicolon in the same sentence."

#WhatchaReading ? I'm halfway through the audio of Mortal Follies by Alexis Hall and what seems to be the big climactic moment has happened. Is there going to be five hours just of people having sex now?

#WhatchaReading ? I'm rereading Magic Flutes, which is a bit of a second-tier Ibbotson for me, after A Company of Swans and A Countess Below Stairs, but still decidedly good.

Also have the new Aster Glenn Grey but am a bit disappointed that what would seem important story elements all happened off-page.
