Of all water usage, residential is ~2/3rds and commercial is 1/3rd. It's probably the same in Austin. Go research it.

Everyone needs to conserve water.

Ohh please. They're building 1,100 units of housing for students and 125 unit for the homeless while preserving the park for community use.

These "Save XYZ" people are always the same. They want nothing to change and they consider housing to be displacement.

They're regressivism/conservatism/urban sprawl disguised as progressive action. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Students need housing. The homeless need housing. This is land that UC owns and can use for this. It's expensive enough to build housing as it is.

Only the NYTs could look at all the pro-fossil fuel insanity that has come out of this conference and say "ackshually, it's good". What a trash rag.

Trying to redefine antisemitism while being antisemitic yourself isn't going to fly well.

"Jews get a word because of all their propaganda" is like basic, run of the mill antisemitism.

Ya'll have no idea how much roads cost and it shows.

While I agree cars themselves are just insanely expensive. A $25k car has you at $450+/month and this is if you have excellent credit.

We need other options besides cars and unfortunately they're the only option for many people.

Plot twist: the senior dev is the one who copy and pasted it after the junior dev's code didn't work

What in the hell are you on about. There is no one choosing to be homeless in LA who can afford a house in bumblefuck.

Per your other point there is nothing about the US housing market that is subject to natural supply and demand. It's a perverted tapestry of incumbents doing whatever they can to keep as many people priced out as possible.
