xz was successful because it was believable, but a malicious actor would more likely target libraries that are depended on by many, like xz.

I appeciate all you do, but please start delegating for your own sake.
Find people to handle the spam and moderation, that gives you more time to focus on dev and infra.
And on dev too, there is lots to delegate.

They're not keeping the money:
"He said the bank informed Jones’ company that it would be sending a cashier’s check for the total balance."

Yea, that's just a proper response to the parent post. Now I agree that lemmy.ml is an instance to avoid.

[–] static@kbin.social 4 points 1 year ago

It just says mod/admin on lemmy.ml , on kbin you can see the mod-username.

Too bad It's impossibe too see wich mod is doing what.
It could be a general lemmy.ml policy, it could allso just be that the first worldnews mod is opiniated , and chose his own modteam for worldnews.

Is this a mod or modteam of a few communities, or is it a global mod outside of community mods?

I'm not shure how to read the modlog.

If.. you invest time the roll20 charactermancer might be great.
But for me and many others dndbeyond is much more usable.

Roll20 has the current-IP, they sadly fail to make it really easy.

My hopes are on https://app.demiplane.com/nexus/5e

The vast majority of people go for convenience over morality.
Look at reddit, it hardly lost users.dndbeyond is really convenient.

With maps they're competing on features instead of legal stuff.
It might even make roll20 get off their ass and make it more usable.

It actally looks usefull, especially compared to their 3D VTT.
The alfa is somewhere between owlbear and roll20.

100 years later, and we're still making the same mistakes.

Een lek in de stemmentelsoftware voor de verkiezingen maakte in potentie het manipuleren van de verkiezingsuitslag mogelijk.

The "send message" button only works for kbin users.
On any user outside of kbin I get a 403.
btw, is there a specific magazine for kbin-software issues?

I could not figure out how to do a modmail, but please take care.

I initially wanted a parrot for my spelljammer character, but in the end I chose a colored raven.

Since the imp can polymorph into a raven, rat or spider there are so many options. What did you do?
