She hasn't had direct contact to my cat yet, just hissed at Miez through the closed terrace door and immediatly ran away. Miez is quite interested though and stayed friendly.

Diese Süße heißt mich in der Nachbarschaft willkommen. Es wird sich rausstellen ob sie sich auch noch mit meiner Katze Miez anfreunden wird. Sie hatte noch keine direkte Begegnung mit meiner Katze, einzig durch die Terassentür. Da hat sie Miez angefaucht und ist getürmt. Miez ist jedoch sehr interessiert und freundlich geblieben.

Meanwhile Miez loves strolling around my neighbours garden shed. in her (supervised) garden time. There is no separation between our two gardens, just around the whole property.

Unterdessen liebt Miez es in ihrer (beaufsichtigten) Gartenzeit sich um das Gartenhaus meines Nachbarn herum zu treiben. Es gibt keine Abzäunung zwischen unseren beiden Gärten, nur ums ganze Grundstück.

Miez loves confined spaces so she sits quite often behind the shed...

Sie liebt enge Räume also sitzt Miez gerne hinter der Hütte...

...as well as next to the garages. She thinks she's invisible there.

...oder auch Mal neben den Garagen. Sie meint man kann sie nicht sehen.

My cat slowly walking on, but then jumping over the grille until she finally walks around it.

She's an indoor and garden cat and we just moved, so this is totally new to her.

Meine Miez und ich sind umgezogen. Sie überprüft alles gründlich Der Blick in meinen Garten vorm Haus: Kritisch, da sind AUTOS!!!

Just set up my (older DIY) wardrobe. Don't know why she is so critical.

Habe meinen (älteren Eigenbau-)Schrank wieder aufgebaut. Weiß nicht, warum sie so genau hinschaut.

The other (newer DIY) cupboard on the other hand seems OK.

Der andere (neuere Eigenbau-)Schrank scheint hingegen in Ordnung zu sein.

Our compromise: She is not allowed outside alone, but she can smell the air from her throne. Miez is well-behaved so I don't have to supervise her at all times. It's enough that she knows I'm right there across the hall working from home and would hear her jumping down. GPS tracker around her neck just in case (a bird excites her too much)

Unser Kompromiss: Sie daef nicht alleine raus, aber sie darf von ihrem Thron aus schon Mal frische Luft schnüffeln. Miez ist ne ganz brave also muss ich sie nicht durchgehend beaufsichtigen. Es reicht dass sie weiß ich bin gleich nebenan im Büro und würde hören wenn sie runter springt. Sie hat nen GPS Tracker um den Hals für den Fall der Fälle (sollte sie ein Vogel zu sehr in den Bann ziehen).

Her first walk next to the house on the fire department access to the Kindergarten. She avoids the street already which I'm quite happy about.

Ihr erster Erkundungsgang auf der Feuerwehrzufahrt zum Kindergarten neben dem Haus. Sie vermeidet ganz zu meiner Zufriedenheit bereits von selbst die Straße.

Seems like very nervous birds chriping all about. She is no danger to them luckily, she only ever cought mice.

Scheint als ob hier sehr nervöse Vögel gibt die die ganze Zeit zwitschern. Für sie ist sie jedoch zum Glück keine Gefahr, sie hat immer nur Mäuse gefangen.

After three years in my current apartment on the countryside I got an offer to a beautiful apartment my hometown (small city of about 13.5k people). As Miez enjoys her (limited and supervised) garden time here I took care that I have my own garden there. While I pack boxes Miez watches closely.

Zwei Tage bis zum Unzug. Während ich alles auseinanderbaue stehe ich unter Miez' stenger Beobachtung Nach drei Jahren in meiner derzeitigen ländlichen Bude habe ich ein Angebot zu einer schönen Wohnung in meiner Heimatstadt (kleine Stadt mit ungefähr 13.500 Einwohnern) bekommen. Damit Miez auch weiterhin (zeitweile, beaufsichtigt) draußen sein darf habe ich darauf geachtet einen eigenen Garten zu haben. Während ich Kartons packe schaut mir Miez genau zu.

Yesterday a buddy of mine helped disassembling the kitchen. Even though she doesn't like the noises of the cordless screwdriver, from time to time she came to us to demand her pets.

Gestern hat mir n Kumpl geholfen die Küche zu zerlegen. Obwohl sie das Geräusch des Akkuschraubers nicht mag hat sie doch ab und zu vorbeigeschaut um ihre Streicheleinheiten einzufordern.

You can tell she isn't too happy about all the time I spend not petting her.

Man merkt ihr deutlich an dass sie unzufrieden ist so wenig Aufmerksamkeit von mir zu bekommen.

However she is really grateful when I do.

Jedoch ist sie sehr dankbar wenn sie ihre verdienten Streicheleinheiten bekommt.

Sometimes she even falls asleep on my lap now, which is really rare.

Manchmal schläft sie nun sogar auf meinem Schoß was äußerst ungewöhnlich ist.

Koda (left) had an accident when he was about six months old. As a consequence now that he is aging his hip is getting worse, so he can't keep up with Lilly in play fights anymore. My friends now decided to adopt Pünktchen (little dot/dots).

Koda (links) hatte nen Unfall als er ca. ein halbes Jahr alt war. Als Spätfolge hiervon bekommt er nun in höherem Alter vermehrt Hüftschmerzen. Da er es nun nicht mehr so mit Lilly aufnehmen kann, haben meine Freunde beschlossen nun Pünktchen in ihre Familie aufzunehmen.

Sorry about the potato quality, they had to zoom in quite a bit as to not scare off Lilly. She has always had some serious nervous problems (would even wound her foot as a result of constant nibbling on it) and Koda acted as her therapist as he is chill as fuck. This is one of their first interactions. Seems like Pünktchen got the hint and stayed really calm around Lilly. Yet Lilly was still scared in the end of the vid when her toy got too close to Pünktchen.

Tut mir leid für die schlechte Videoqualität. Sie mussten ziemlich reinzoomen um Lilly nicht zu verschrecken. Sie hatte schon immer starke Nervositätsprobleme (hat sogar immer wieder ihren eigenen Hinterfuß wund gebissen) und Koda hat von klein auf als ihr Therapiekater fungiert. Dies ist eine ihrer ersten Begegnungen, und Pünktchen scheint es schon begriffen zu haben dass sie um Lilly sehr ruhig sein muss. Nichts desto trotz ist Lilly am Schluss weggeschreckt als ihr Spielzeug zu nah bei Pünktchen landete.

Around Koda Lilly acts dominant, but in a playful manner. She would love for him to come cuddle with her in the hammock as he used to lie on top of her when she was just a kitty, yet he prefers to stay on the board next to her in protest. I'm happy the both of them love the cat tree I built for them as a parting gift.

Um Koda spielt Lilly einen auf dominant, aber nicht böse. Sie hätte am liebsten dass er sich wie früher wieder auf sie legt. Er jedoch protestiert in dem er auf dem Brett neben der Hängematte verweilt. Ich bin froh dass beide den Kratzbaum lieben den ich ihnen als Abschiedsgeschenk gebaut habe.

There would definitely be enough room for Koda as well in there next to Lilly.

Ist ja nicht so als wäre nebeni Lilly nicht noch genug Platz für Koda.

When I first let Miez into the garden she was afraid my landlord (who lives below). Even though she loves meeting new people inside my apartment it took her over a year to befriend him.

Meine (sonst reine) Wohnungskatze traut sich viel mehr seit sie in den Garten darf

Anfangs hatte Miez große Angst vor meinem Vermieter (der im Erdgeschoß wohnt). Obwohl sie sich in der Wohnung jedem neuen Besuch anbiedert hat sie draußen über ein Jahr gebraucht sich mit ihm anzufreunden.

Also after now two years of almost daily garden time she just started climbing trees. She meows a lot at me and I talk to her reassuringly so that my old gal of almost 11 years of age doesn't panic.

Nun nach zwo Jahren fast täglicher Gartenbesuche fängt sie sogar an von alleine auf Bäume zu klettern. Sie maunzt dabei oft und ich rede ihr ermutigend zu damit sie schön ruhig bleibt.

As an in-house + garden cat, she never caught a bird outside (only one plus a bat that were unfortunate enough to fly into my apartment), which I'm quite happy with. There are tons of mice in the garden and she got quite good at catching those. In October I'll move to a new place in my birth town (small city). Hope she'll be happy with the new garden. If not, then there's always my sister's garden about 100m further so I can take her there on foot.

Miez hat ein neues Lieblingsversteck neben dem Vogelfütterungshaus meiner Nachbarn Als Hauskatze mit Gartenzugang hat sie zum Glück draußen noch nie nen Vogel gefangen (innen schon nen Vogel plus ne Fledermaus die unglücklicherweise in meine Wohnung geflogen sind). Es gibt eine Flut am Mäusen, bei denen sie sich schon gut bedient hat. Anfang Oktober ziehe ich in meine neue Bude in meiner Heim-Kleinstadt. Ich hoffe der neue Garten gefällt ihr. Wenn nicht kann ich die jederzeit in den größeren Garten meiner Schwester bringen die ca. 100 Meter weiter wohnt.

Today he went back to his home, I'll miss this big cuddly softy dearly. His sister Miez is glad she's the ruler of my flat again.

My cat doesn't like the sound either but isn't afraid at all while my sister's cats Timmy (left) and Lucy (right) are very much so.

Staubsaugen ist angesagt - meine Katze Miez gegenüber den Katzen meiner Schwester. Meine Katze mag zwar die Lautstärke auch nicht, hat aber keine Angst. Die Katzen Timmy (links) und Lucy (rechts) hingegen haben sehrwohl Angst.

August is cat sitting time due to various vacations. My parents are currently sittng the brother and sister pair Timmy...

Im August ist urlaubsbedingt Katzen hüten angesagt. Meine Eltern passen gerade auf das Bruder-Schwester-Paar meiner Schwester Timmy...

...and Lucy. Since my sister isn't great at training cats, so they are allowed on the kitchen counter which mine isn't. My parents aren't happy about this but gave in.

...und Lucy auf. Da meine Schwester nicht gut im Katzen erziehen ist, dürfen ihre auch auf die Küchenablage während meine dies nicht darf. Meine Eltern sind darüber nicht glücklich aber was willste machen... Was Hänschen nicht lernt lernt Hans nimmer mehr.

My mom's tripawd Franka is perfectly comfortable in tight spaces only, so she doesn't mind having only one room to herself. Franka gets along with Miez but not the others.

Die dreibeininge Katze meiner Eltern fühlt sich in engen Höhlen am wohlsten also macht es ihr auch nichts aus nur einen Raum zur Verfügung zu haben. Franka kommt mit Miez gut aus aber nicht mit den anderen.

My cat Miez is ususally free to roam the house, but Lucy attacks her, so right now she has a room to herself if nobody is there to watch them. Timmy is totally chill towards all and everything, maybe over time this could work out like it now does with Miez and Franka (it took them a few years and visits).

Meine Katze Miez darf im Normalfall durchs ganze Haus stöbern aber da Lucy sie attackiert geht dies nun nur unter Aufsicht. Timmy ist ganz gelassen allen gegenüber, also würden mit mehr Zeit vermutlich auch alle miteinander auskommen wie Miez und Franka nun (nach einigen Jahren und Besuchen).

Miez muss gerade bei meinen Eltern bleiben da ich gerade ihren Bruder Koda...

...and his little companion Lilly. They are both my former cats as well but Koda and Miez didn't get along anymore while Lilly totally loves Koda so I had to give them away. Luckily I found them a new home with friends of mine so I can visit them from time to time.

...und seine kleine Kunpanin Lilly hüte. Sie waren beide Mal meine Katzen aber Koda und Miez haben sich nur noch gezofft also musste ich sie trennen. Lilly liebt Koda über alles und ich bin froh darüber dass Freunde von mir die beiden bei sich aufgenommen haben. Abseits vom Hüten kann ich sie so ab und an besuchen.

Edit: Bonus:

Since Miez is such a good girl that she doesn't stroll away even if she could, I let her into my parents garden. Lucy was not happy about Miez's privilege.

Da Miez so brav ist und nicht abhaut obwohl die könnte habe ich sie heute in den Garten meiner Eltern gelassen. Vor allem Lucy war von der Bevorteiligung nicht begeistert.
