@Blaze @TheImpressiveX It'd be cool if that's what upcoming #GameOfThrones movies aim to do

@mindbleach @ryathal #24onFOX modernized it before #JasonBourne, it's sort of #JackBauer in film form
@simple @TheImpressiveX The #RottenTomatoes user score is mostly about how fun the movie is to watch, not how good it is
@Emperor It's hard to make this fit into any sort of narrative.
Is he "homophobic" and intentionally trying to screw people over? Or, did he try to push the boundaries of what he could do and realized too late that he wouldn't be comfortable doing this and decided to just bail?
Will the left praise him for not putting himself in a sexually vulnerable position he wasn't willing to be in?
@Zoomboingding @UKFilmNerd I feel like 1:30-1:45 is usually pretty good. I have nothing against 2 minute long or even 2:30 minute trailers if they're edited well though.
@UKFilmNerd That's a good question. Even going back to 2018, I always thought the best trailer for #AvengersInfinityWar wasn't even a trailer, but the "chant" TV spot:

But I agree with the audience, 2:30 trailers are usually pretty good. Once a trailer gets longer than that, you start to feel its length.
@ynazuma I could be wrong but don't indie movies outnumber remakes pretty heavily? There's really no shortage of fresh new movies because those are being made all the time and haven't stopped.
In any case...yeah what is popular and mainstream will generally be mid at best, but I don't think that's unique to even this era of #Hollywood.
I think the real problem is that fresh indie movies are getting choked out from theaters by those franchise films by major studios: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3f-MA-o4xQ
