Please put all Dawntrail story discussion behind spoiler tags / content warnings (outside of the unmarked spoiler thread)

If you see any unmarked spoilers elsewhere, feel free to report 'em.

That aspect of ffxiv is one of my favorite things about it - there's almost no fomo / season pass shenanigans (outside of pvp). I've been playing since the 2.X days and the way everything is designed around playing at your own pace has really made it easy to enjoy over the years.

Hey everyone! Admin of possumpat.io here.

It's been a amazing to watch this community grow on my humble little possum themed instance. As far as I can tell, it's the largest FFXIV community on Lemmy so far. Neat!

In an attempt to be proactive and anticipating more growth, I'd like to try and bring on a couple more moderators to help keep things going smoothly. There haven't been any issues that need moderation so far on !ffxiv - but it doesn't hurt to be prepared, especially if this community continues to grow.

Both types of discussion are welcome here - if this ever grows large enough that we need to split the "hardcore" crowd into their own community, we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

The REAL real tragedy would be losing r/shitpostxiv 🤣
