Many voters in the Atlanta suburbs were newly hopeful when Vice President Kamala Harris entered the race. But conservative values are still deeply rooted in the swing state.
Visiting Wisconsin after giving a speech in Georgia, the vice president signaled she would focus on the life-or-death risks of abortion bans in the final weeks of the race.
“Donald Trump is the architect of this crisis,” Kamala Harris said in Georgia, where reporting this week found that the deaths of two women were a result of delayed treatment for medication abortions.
The B-52s, BeBe Winans, Angélique Kidjo, Chuck Leavell and many others performed in Atlanta at a concert honoring the former president, who has been in hospice care.
The charges are part of a sprawling investigation into more than 60 threats targeting schools in 23 counties since a mass shooting on Sept. 4 in Georgia in which four people were killed at a high school.
The state election board was recently taken over by a conservative majority. Its latest proposals are dangerously late in the process and most likely illegal, according to the secretary of state.
