I've used SteamTinkerLaunch with Vortex and it works.

it worked but how do I do the same for my Fedora PC? I tried to run pikdum's commands in my terminal but it didn't work.

How do you mod games on the Steam Deck or Linux in general? I've seen so many videos and tutorials but nothing seemed to work.

Thank you guys for helping with my Sunshine-Moonlight and Tailscale setup. I can play with my friends now. But I still have an issue. I don't get any audio while the Moonlight Clients get their audio...using Discord and Moonlight causes an echoing too. What should I do?

I didn't change anything

The firewall was the issue. How do I enable the firewall?

No my Android phone with Moonlight can't connect either on the same network.

Hi I got the following problem. I successfully created a Tailscale network and a user from outside the network can login and connect to my network. That part works properly. We use a Fedora Linux PC as a host (Sunshine) and Moonlight Client on a Windows 10 PC. After tinkering for hours we can now see each other but I get the following issue "Request Timed Out (Error 4)" This issue always happens after inputting the PIN which is displayed on the Windows (Moonlight) on my Fedora PC (Sunshine) the client cannot connect after that but still sees my PC online and as a viable option to connect.

Additional Info: I've asked in the Moonlight Discord but I still got no answer.

Hi thank you for helping me with my last issue (Sunlight remote desktop). Now I have encountered another issue VPN. I'd like to use Hamachi to play remotely with a friend (he'll be using Moonlight to connect to my Linux PC) the problem is that he's using a M1 Mac and Hamachi is not working on those. Maybe you guys have a better and open source alternative for Hamachi that's also "easy" to setup and connect to.

Hi I use Nobara OS as my daily driver and have used it for quite some time in the past with X11. I now got myself a new pc and wanted to try out Wayland. While it works perfect with nearly anything I get problems with the discord app mainly the screen sharing. It opens up "Portals" and when ever I try to configure it one way or another it never shows any window being streamed.

Should I use the proprietary drivers? How much fps do I loose if I use the open drivers? I use ChimeraOS (Arch Linux)

I get the following error all the time when I want to start the systemd run section of the tutorial: Failed to find executable /home/deck/.local/share/tailscale/steamos/tailscale_1.24.2_amd64/tailscaled: No such file or directory. Everything up until there went fine but the last command won't work.

How do I set it up for my Steam Deck?

[–] neku@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

how did you do it. I only get this

[–] neku@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 8 months ago (8 children)

do you have any tutorial. I just want to run a Minetest server for 2 players using OpenVPN

[–] neku@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 8 months ago (1 children)

How do I install it on my steam deck?

I'd like to play Minetest with a friends over the internet (not the same network). I previously used Hamachi and it worked well but I want to use an easy and open source alternative. So is there any real alternative or should I just continue to use Hamachi?

-34...what do I have to do. I'm really sorry it wasn't intentional and I didn't know it any better

I really didn't know any better. I have edited my last post. I am really sorry.

KDE Rice? (discuss.tchncs.de)

I think that basic KDE looks pretty ugly. I used vanilla gnome for 6 months and loved it. I know about the subreddit unixporn and some "well themed" KDE DE look really good. I wanted to know that if it's worth it to customize your Steam Deck DE or should you just pretend that it's just functional and you shouldn't touch it. I mean the Steam Deck uses an APU...would it drain a lot of memory to display something more "elaborate"?

I downloaded replays of a League game and now I want to delete it but I can't find the file. I use lutris to launch League.
