I don't even hide it. I keep iterating back and forth between running TTRPG games and writing short stories. I do think I've started to hit something more satisfying with using a looser system (plug for https://lemmy.world/c/owboybeboprpg devoted to a fairly dead TTRPG that I probably only like because I haven't done enough research into more popular TTRPG systems)

For me, it was this cycle where I would just get kind of exhausted at the writing process, outlining, writing, editing, and then feeling a bit dejected when its never quite as good as you remembered, then when I DMed tabletop games, it felt like I wanted more control to ideate high level visions for the narrative. They both scratch different itches in the creative process, and sometimes its nice to just switch up the itch.

I think she's trying to have her cake and eat it too. She'll claim killing the toll helped flip suburban representatives, and by reinstating it she can try and also curry favor from city dwellers.

I feel like it shouldn't be too bad to exempt school buses and emergency vehicles.

It's not hard for the feds to illegally imprison someone. We have a political dissident illegally locked up under house arrest for bringing a lawsuit against Chevron in Ecuador.

Honestly, if NYC voted to secede from the state, it would probably be pretty popular. Albany doesn't even pretend to view us as anything more than a piggy bank at this point.

Your mistake is thinking the Democratic Party is trying to get members elected. Their primary goal is to keep the top brass in positions of power and then to keep their donors making money.

That second one is true of every political party, they just have different ways of going about it.

Depends on the publication's editorial guidelines with respect to what words are censored and how. Probably not the author's choice.

If he's really a narcissist they're not crocodile tears, he legitimately feels bad. That he is facing consequences.

The important thing is that we remain civil and use inclusive language while we discuss whether or not an entire population including children, non combatants, and international aid workers should be stripped of human rights and murdered.
