I don't see the benefit. In the first place, Ligue 1 isn't even really available to American viewers on TV, as Bein holds the rights and is hidden on Premium Sports TV packages that few soccer fans get these days since everything else is easier to find.
The Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, and a few other major European leagues are far more accessible to viewers in the United States, so Ligue 1 is at a major disadvantage.
The risk for Wilshere is that the Kroenke's treat the Rapids like the unwanted stepchild in their empire of sports teams and clubs.
