It is his brother, Harry Wysocki , he uses Heronim, signature in lower right hand corner. Heronim is also known for having a black cat in every puzzle but I looked at this picture closely and can not find the black cat.

Bits and Pieces have the most difficult border pieces, but Springbok and I think SunsOut have unusual shapes as well. We buy Bits and Pieces because they some times have box sets at good prices. You posted Ravensburger, they are always good quality, and I only remember one I did not like, it was too dark.

Almost missed this, great puzzle!

Master Pieces has a lot of budget puzzle. The quality of the 300 and 500 piece puzzles are better than the 1000 . The quality of Master Pieces is similar to CEACO, close to Buffalo but not as good. Master Pieces uses unusual shapes, but unlike Bits & Pieces keeps the border pieces pretty easy to identify. If they were identical in size and price, I would choose Buffalo over Master Pieces, but Master Pieces is usually cheaper. Master Pieces is so close to CEACO in quality and price I choose whatever is on sale.

Americana style puzzles may be my favorites.

Thanks, if you look closely you will see partial pieces, and some cases I found parts of torn pieces that I stuffed into spots where they seemed to match.

We have seen the "wasgij puzzles", but don't remember doing any. I think it was "The Observatory" by Ravensburger, listed as an escape puzzle had a section that was different than pictured . I did not like it because the puzzle was too dark, difficult to see. We usually avoid the mystery type puzzles.

More on box art: I think White Mountain (not sure on brand ) includes a stand to hold the box top and many include posters.

I think this is the end of the line for this old puzzle, will not be returning it to Goodwill.
