I’ve had my 13” for about 18 months and it has been a fantastic laptop.

The keyboard is way better than my MacBook m1. The touchpad is comparable (none are as good as Mac touchpads but it is miles ahead of most laptops). Some people complain about the hinges but I’m not sure why. If I’m doing something intensive the fans come on. They certainly aren’t silent but I wouldn’t consider them noisy compared to laptops I’ve had in the past (including my older intel MacBook)

I run fedora mostly out of the box without issues. My one complaint would be lack of S3 sleep which can cause a lot of battery drain during suspend. I use a hybrid approach where it now suspends for 30 minutes then goes into hibernation. That works well although I miss the instant on.

I expect I’ll stay with framework for the future. I haven’t had to do any upgrades or replacements but it is really nice knowing I can.

Underground 1 (and burnout 3) both for ps2 are the racing games I always fall back to.

I really, really dislike open worlds, stories, pointless customization, and any sort of online play.

I want fast moving, hard to see, dodging traffic racing, with lots of crashing (or close calls).

Alabama… well we actually get to use a black bic pen. But we feed it into a scantron reader.

My spouse and I just use SO (esso) for significant other. I like it more than partner as it is explicitly a romantic or at least very important relationship.

High-frequency systems with shorter trains are often more effective at moving passengers quickly during peak hours, because the trains come more often, reducing platform overcrowding and wait times. For example, the Tokyo Metro system, despite having relatively shorter trains compared to New York, serves a much higher passenger volume because of its incredibly high frequency and reliability.

New York has some of the longest subways at 600ft (160 meters)

Next up is shanghai and Beijing.

Paris is 6th.

So we could go longer but maybe more frequent is better?

The problem is that Star Wars and Star Trek are two different genres. One is sci-fi and the other is fantasy set in space. There nothing wrong with either, but they are unrelated.

Lemmy and the fediverse is not about free speech and democratizing a platform, it is about eliminating central authority.

Lemmy.world can enforce whatever stupid rules they want on their instance and their communities. But none of that stops you from running your own instance and a community on your instance where you can enforce your rules.
