openstreetmap.org is a mappers website, not a map users website. It works great for mappers, but is horrible for people who want to use the map to find their way around.

I think the openstreetmap ecosystem really needs a better website for map users.

I see no benefit to using Waze. Openstreepmap works better.

governments will not do anything that upsets the big companies like Google. Adblockers are are only defence against Google and others.

First, google's lawyers will not like that.

Second, in many places google maps data is not as good as Openstreetmap.

I use both OrganicMaps and OsmAnd. I find that OsmAnd is better for poweruser functions (like editing the map or recording a track), but OrganicMaps is a very simple navigation app that just works well.
