I have yet to see any marketing for Bluesky. The fediverse still takes effort, even if it isn’t necessarily complicated.

Blame Connecticut. It’s their fault. It would up benefiting the South, but it was Delaware and CT mad about larger states having more a say.

The South actually wanted proportional representation. They were growing faster and had more land.

Bluesky is far more user friendly and that’s why the people are going there. I get it, y’all love federation and ActivityPub, but no one wants to pick an instance, much less read a manifesto on decentralized social media. (Frankly, Lemmy has much of the same issues.)

I have had a Mastodon account since Elmo Muskrat bought Twitter, but it’s practically useless as few outside some specific IT-oriented users are on it. I got Bluesky, and it’s been way better as it attracts a larger variety of people.

Illegal to sell. Which means you cannot drink it as you cannot obtain it without a cow of your own.

It’s not about me fighting a 3rd party candidate. It’s that it doesn’t work in first past the post elections. It’s rare they get even 5%.

Lies! I’m not calling for genocide. I oppose genocide, I oppose the war. But the fact people like you think Trump is the same as Harris erodes that sympathy.

Not going to happen.

And how many decades ago did a 3rd party get a single electoral vote?

[–] derf82@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago (7 children)

lol, Harris had like a 100000000000 times better shot of winning than any third party candidate

I feel that way because you helped Trump.

I’m betting he helps complete the genocide. And I no longer have any sympathy for it.

It appears API rate limiting has effectively killed these alternatives. You essentially get nothing but “Too many requests” 429 errors.

Lemmy sadly does not have the active niche news and discussions I want. But now nothing can be read without going to Reddit. I hate Spez
