Read it last year and loved it and the sequel. Earth seed is neat as a concept because it does feel like in larger groups people need a religious analog as a set of guiding principles.

I have Nothing Ear (2), the mic is good, but does a terrible job filtering out background noise. I don't recommend them if you want to talk in noisy environments.
Might try cinnamon and solid back sweeten for a fall cider.
Have you experimented with different yeast? I really like using wilder (more lacto) yeast strains made for belgians and saisons.
It was kind of an epiphany in my understanding when I realized that "the market" is not exclusive to capitalism and has existed as long as goods exchange and that communism, doesn't mean ignoring market forces or value.
