yeah, i agree, but he’s such a πŸ’© that ppl should know who lives among them, especially when they have such an impact/influence on others that can possible lead to violence.

speaking of cool locals, i recently found out Denis Franz is from Maywood! πŸ’™

yes, this self-loathing, white supremacist, misogynistic turd is from the suburbs. he lives in Berwyn & grew up/went to school in the surrounding suburbs; lagrange & western springs.

Online voter registration has now closed in Illinois ahead of the November 5th Presidential Election. Voters who still need to register to vote, as well as file a name or address change, can still do so at any Early Voting site ahead of and on Election Day, as well as at their precinct polling place on Election Day. Voters will need to bring two forms of ID, one of those which shows their current address.

The phrase β€œgay Christmas” itself goes back to the mid-20th century as well. According to Stein, it’s thought to be an evolution of β€œbitches Christmas,” a costumed celebration that originated in Philadelphia in the 1950s and ’60s.

As early as 1935, Alfred Finnie, a gay Black man in Chicago, was throwing glamorous Halloween balls on the city’s South Side.

Any voter in Chicago can vote at any Early Voting site, no matter where they live in the city. Voters can choose whatever voting site is most convenient for them, including on Election Day.

All Early Voting locations are ADA-compliant and fully accessible to voters with disabilities.

The crowd filled in really quick, great content.

hilarious show w/ ties to Chicago:

Carl Kolchak is a reporter for a Chicago newspaper. Through more accident than design he ends up investigating homicides, many of which involve supernatural forces. Ultimately, rather than reporting on the crimes, he solves them.

--

Came across this show recently and it has been a hilarious watch, especially for October! My partner is a journalist and gets quite a kick out of it! If you are an X-Files fan you might be interested, as Chris Carter cited Kolchak as a "tremendous influence" in creating his franchise The X-Files.

It's available via Peacock or the high seas :) Enjoy!
