I agree it's definitely counter productive to argue with brainwashed general public, especially outright saying your are communist, anarchist, Marxist...socialist, even leaning. Far right propaganda is so pervasive and mob mentality is real. The division has already been made and media pushes these reactionary divisions of the "left vs the right". Choose a team and in-fight, meanwhile the loudest of the extremes in the general public are literally in the same class based on capitalist society's standards. Basically petty bourgeoise. The other lepers mindlessly following suit are the working class... To me its more imperative to try to communicate with the latter because they live, eat and breathe, the modern feudal system from the bottom rung. But how do you start the conversation? To me, as a communist leaning anarchist, direct action leads to beginning the discussion. if you build it they will come. Once they've voluntarily stepped through the door, the conversation is more likely to be productive. Ie Food Not Bombs.
I loved Crunchbang was sad to see it go
ive been using mailspring, pretty happy with it.
I was like 11 and had no idea wth i was doing. but i sure downloaded a lot of stuff from Limewire..."why the hell is the computer so slow all of a sudden?!"
I mean propaganda is a helluva drug. Remember "Got Milk" or "Beef, its whats for dinner" What about the "food pyramid" they teach you in elementary school. all of it is propaganda for industrial producers. so we know it is possible to influence the masses to consume in a certain direction. it just needs to be going in the correct direction. which will take alot of time because how much is already so heavily invested into getting their industry to where it is today.
but when you dont regulate corporations they will exploit and destroy anything and everything to monopolize and capitalize to the fullest extent. its not that the consumption of meat is bad, from a responsible regenerative agroforestry standpoint raising animals can help your regenerative agriculture system. it is monoculture and monopolization of the industry, pushing out responsible small scale community providers etc. that produce in a more ecologically responsible way. not to negate that populations consuming a lot of meat daily do end up becoming a market for irresponsible producers that "need to keep up with demand" to continually profit.
i got covid and thought it was allergies. i didn't believe it so i took the test twice...both positive, although i felt fine, just had an itchy nose. my ex boss got covid and was hospitalized and said it felt like an elephant was on his chest. crazy how different the responses can be from person to person.
