That doesn't mean that we shouldn't regulate predatory practices. Many video games are built on social media and gambling models designed with intentionally addictive features. In not talking about fun features, I'm talking about addictive features. There are panels at game designer conferences you can listen to about this stuff.

TIL, that's a great tip! cheers
I replaced the YouTube app on my SO's phone with a Brave Browser YouTube link (Brave includes both features out of the box) because having to sit through ads when they wanted to show me a video was driving me nuts...
I use Firefox because of tamper monkey, buy Brave is my go to easy solution for friends so I don't have to explain about installing extras.
Disco Elysium is the game that instantly came to mind. Basically all story that is brilliantly written with incredible voice acting. I hope OP checks it out.
They already exist and their name is Murderbot. Check out the Murderbot Mysteries.
All of my social activities involve quiet rooms and less than 10 people. Although I will say that if the crowd gets big enough then the white noise all the talking creates can be calming. Unfortunately the hundreds of people bumping into you kinda ruins the whole thing.
Rain sounds and/or instrumental music are the only way I can focus when the environment is noisy.
I like to say that I think in really big mutable general concepts, abs only in specifics when solving a puzzle or troubleshooting. Sensations is much closer than words for sure.
My SO hates driving, so I drive us everywhere, they also love conversing. I keep trying to explain why this isn't compatible... at least now they keep track of where we are more often and let me know when I'm going to miss my turn. I won't talk and drive without my ADHD meds though, way to dangerous...
I'm right there with you. Going through all of it right now. I have been considering getting an official diagnosis, but I'm 100% sure I'm on the spectrum, so I'm not sure if there is a point.
Is there a crazier firing that could happen in the NBA right now? The only thing I can think of is firing Spo or releasing Wemby or maybe an MVP candidate.
My go to activities are:
Getting out on nature, running water is a big plus, hiking, kayaking, etc.
Board/party games have improved a ton over the last 20 years. Some simple fun games that take a minute or less to teach: telestrations, just one, banagrams
D&D or other role playing, this is a really easy way to engage in social interaction that is lower pressure (at least for me) and fun.
