Portugal was not filled with talent from 2008-2018. They are stacked now but outside of Ronaldo their talent was pretty meh for a major international side. Mind you neither Neymar or Messi played with a golden generation either, but I think it's folly to pretend that some of those past Portugal teams were anything special.
