Yeah, but ya know, people shouldn't be required to "apply critical thinking" to what is effectively a passthrough device for them. Do you consider the choice of lubricant used for the serpentine belt in your car? Car dudes would say "ugh people should apply more critical thinking to their car"

Technology should be reasonable and functional, even if you're not invested in the details

"Most people" probably can't name the browser they use. They just open "the internet" on whatever device they're on.

Ok let me say this as constructively as possible then: look at the downvotes. You're not behaving appropriately for this space. Change your behavior or go away.

Do you do any speed work? Just doing Z2 work will improve your endurance, for sure, but you should include some Z4/Z5 sprints and intervals if you want increase speed.

People can often disappoint. I'm sorry the ones you've run into have been those types.

But if there are no role models, have you considered being one? Not for yourself - that ship may have sailed, and it sucks. But perhaps there are others to whom YOU could be a role model for. You could be the person you should have had

Have them play capture the flag or something, where the PCs are one team

I suggest you just try activities until you find something you enjoy. There are a thousand ways to be fit. Put lifting on a backburner and try other fun things
