The why is easy. Onions/garlic are baaaaaad for dogs. Hence the attraction.

Bit of a red flag that.

Nope, just the regular blue ones. Like, so so ordinary. Why would anyone bother to nick them? I'm still scratching my head over that one.

A woman I used to work with lived in Kew in a very nice street with a lot of very nice neighbours - included politicians and captains of industry. Her agapanthus bed kept getting raided by plant pirates. She tucked a placard at the back of the bed saying Smile! You're On Candid Camera! Raids stopped. I mean, who nicks agapanthus?

Could you repeat that?

I reckon that's more of an aeonium, not a sempervirens spp. Not all aeonia are purple - there's a whole lot with nice different coloured edges like this one. The flowers are very like an aeonium. I've never seen a sempervirens flower so I dunno what such flowers would look like.

That actually sounds like it might be worth calling Nurse on Call or similar - just in case there's a blood pressure issue.

Ow. That doesn't sound good. Cold compress maybe for symptomatic relief?
