I mean if intrusive ad revenue goes down imo it's not a problem. In the case of an 80's movie on YouTube posted by some dude I don't think Rowdy Roddy Piper is gonna get any of your proceeds towards his cancer treatments anyhow (he's dead).

Don't forget about Sponsor Block extension as well. It's great.

Not many great memories from that era (I was a late teen when payphones largely started disappearing because cell phones) but when as a pre-teen I learned that you could take a standard issue tack from any bulletin board and hold it in contact with the mouthpiece and any other metal object to make free calls, it opened doors in my world forever.

Fact that any major series of companies released tech this easily circumvented gave younger me an intuitive understanding that capitalism is and always will be completely fucked up. Long before I could express how.

Thanks Telus!!!

Yeah it wasn't the gore or special effects that left a mark it was the psychological elements.

Some of the darkest ones I've seen (most disturbing) aside from the torture porn genre of modern times come out of the 70's. The OG chainsaw massacre, or Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer come to mind. They didn't have a lot of censorship for some things back then. They got away with some pretty twisted shit on-screen.

If you use a DNS solutions you can block all the telemetry shit. Frankly FF has been phoning home in a lot of undesirable ways for many years even before this, like most browsers.

The Pixies doing In Heaven Everything Is Fine from this film is one of the all time best cultural references imo. 👩‍🍳

Didn't open the link, hoped OP would add a summary to the post. But so my imagination runs wild that the bear was so surprised at being decked in the face it hung its head and danced a few beats of whatever music was playing and sulked off to bum a much needed cigarette.

Wish there was an even darker nottheonion to catalog and curate stories like this that are extremely commonplace but also too fucking much to accept. aboringdystopia is pretty close to it.

I mean your pivot/kick point on this board is right over the truck so it takes some different pressure and balance but it's doable. On a shorty you're quite a bit higher and behind the truck. I can shovit with ease and olley with some effort but like you I didn't get it to do tricks per se, I got it because doing a lot of street skating being able to kick it over 90 degrees or more is fundamental. You can't do that with a big heavy log.

The drop thru trucks and big cutaway with the kicks at the ends is nice because you can ride your trucks loose af. I don't know if that appeals to you but that's how I roll.
