Not OP but here you go. I work with young people and have had suicide prevention training multiple times, this is a recurring mantra that not asking about it is much worse than asking.

Sounds lush! Have a great time on the cruise, I've been thinking they do look like fun and I'd like to try one day

I watched it yesterday and had a similar reaction. There's really good animation and the story was really good to get more depth for hey character. There were also some interesting call backs. Spoilers below!

Samson still had his powers so we got to see those in action. Also the green phasing person was a man, in the invincible series it's a woman so I wonder what happened there? The people in tubes reminded me of robot too, I wonder if we're going to get more of the others origin stories as well? Monster girl would be cool to see how she got cursed like that

Hey there! Thanks for taking this over, I've not been able to post much recently but really glad this community is here. I love sharing knitting patterns and tips.

I'm not a huge fan of self promotion posts really, but there is that blurred line where someone is sharing their own WIP/FO from their own design, etc. What about if we have a self promote day a week? Would something like that work?

This was really unhelpful

This is the second advertising post I've seen on lemmy and they were both today. I'm wondering how other people feel about it or if they've even seen posts like this?

Personally I'm livid and hate seeing it here. One of the things that attracts me to lemmy is the donation based, volunteer run, distributed, open access nature of it. I don't want it to become profit driven and I really don't want to see companies in what I belive should be a purely social endeavour. I really think making it profit driven will ruin it, if that means it stays smaller then I'm okay with that.

Now I know I can block them and move on which is what I've done. I'm also pleased to say that both posts I saw were heavily downvoted and I did my part too.

I'm curious if other people agree with me and don't want advertising like this on lemmy? Also, what do people think we can actually do about it if we don't want it around? Petition instance admins to ban advertising accounts? Then how do we define one? Can anything actually be done or do I just have to block and move on from a possibly ever increasing flow of advertising until I get bored and move on?

Sorry for the long rambling post and thanks if you read this far.

Hey there's another long pasta on here that has some true stuff and some untrue stuff.

If you want to go for it then I think you should. Another poster uses a safety razor and that's what I used to do too. Plenty of shave cream or I sometimes got one of those ones you can use in the shower, I think they're designed and sold as ladies leg razors.

Always use plenty of moisturiser after shaving with a razor. It will itch a bit at as it grows back in, try not to scratch though as you'll irritate the skin and maybe get pimples.

You can also use a clipper, this won't go as close so you won't have the itch growing back and moisturising won't be as vital. Be careful though as they can be sharp and you can catch yourself (I mean this goes for all sharp things near your bits). You'll have like really short stubble to begin with this way which can be easier to manage and also means you still have that bit of friction. If you're clean shaven and moisturised you will be very smooth.

The pasta talks about having a stinky ass after shaving and being all shitty. I never had this issue because I just cleaned myself properly after going to the loo, don't let that scare you just clean up properly.

No worries! It was shared with me (on here I think) so I'm just spreading the love 😁

Not sure if you're referring to Sean Bean and Viggo Mortensen or Boromir and Aragorn (who's like 80 at the time of the LotR) but it works either way!

Has anyone else read this? (www.queerlit.co.uk)

I read this book years ago when it was the first edition. It really spoke to me about some feelings I thought were really personal but turned out to be fairly common.

I read it again years later and it was a good read again. It has some really useful lessons and ideas I think.

I'm really curious if anyone else has read it, particularly someone younger than 40, and what they thought about it. If you haven't read it I would recommend giving it a go if you can find it, I'm going to give it another read now it's popped into my head.

Not when did you come out, that's a whole different story, but when did you know you were a gay bro?

I've always been excited by other guys, I remember being very young (like 7/8) and getting a bit too into the wrestling. My parents turned it off 😩

I was around 13 when someone said something about 'gay' and I learned it was a whole thing. It was like a light bulb moment and a bunch of things instantly made sense. And that was it, came out to some friends not long after and that was it.

How about you guys?

And another image that looked kind of nice

A deer headed man with antlers wearing pseudo traditional Japanese clothing walking away through a cherry blossom forest

I'm enjoying animal headed people and animals doing unusual things like going to work at the moment.
