Because if you did, you wouldn't refer to it as YTP.
The first part of the stuff is reminiscent of YTP, sure, but the wider part if it definitely is its own separate thing.
What I meant was that a lot of their work incorporates tons of mecha-style battles, robots, and things like that, a lot of it inspired by Transformers, both the old & new.

The guy who created the series is actually a massive Transformers fan and made some absolutely fantastic fights and visuals into the series. I found myself actually getting a bit tense watching some of the fights!
The title and original hook have probably put a lot of folks off, but if you don't understand something.. look into it! You may be surprised.

I've played it with my kid, and the shit I've seen randomly pop up is pretty vile.
Lots of it can be fun, but it's not at all something a kid should be left alone to play.
Fun fact: Gonks are not allowed on rooftop buildings in cities because they would walk over edges.
