This could be promising depending on how well they implement quality control. Currently, this is where Indian manufacturers struggle
Sentau
That goal difference gap is stunning
It's a sync problem ~~I guess~~ because lemmy-ui (the default UI developed by the Lemmy devs) and Photon (Lemmy client website) and Voyager (Lemmy client app) all show the bullet points properly
There are several reasons
- The car got lighter as the fuel was consumed throughout the race
- It was raining earlier which made the track wet and led to lower grip. Near the end of the race, the track was dryer (still wet but not nearly as wet as earlier in the race) which meant the drivers had more grip.
- The tyres didnt wear much because the rain dropped the track temperature. This meant that the grip increase from the track getting drier was more than the grip lost due to tyre wear allowing the cars to go faster.
The VSC was luck. Pitting neither under the VSC nor under the safety car was a strategic call. Red bull and Alpine both made an educated guess based on the amount rain that there is a high possibility for a red flag. It was lucky but there was plenty of strategy involved. Also all three of them drove brilliantly to put themselves in a position to capitalise. Remember Colapinto binned it on fresh inters while max, ocon and gasly kept it on the track on ~~won't~~ worn inters. Saying it was 100% luck is doing a disservice to all 3 of them and their teams
The ultra 7 is actually a good all rounder. Decent performance (well balanced between gaming and production workloads), good efficiency and good pricing with respect to the AMD options. AMD is of course better for pure productivity (9950x), pure gaming (7800x3d and the upcoming 9800x3d) and is better at the low end (7600, 7600x)
The result wouldn't have changed much even with all the guilty parties rightfully recieving a 5 sec penalty. Russell would still be ~~3rd~~ 4th, Norris would still be 6th, Yuki would still be 7th, piastri would still be 8th and ollie would still be 12th. The only beneficiary would be perez who would move upto 9th after the penalties for lawson and lewis who would drop to 10th and 11th respectively.
Sporting advantage is not the only criteria involved when dishing out penalties as we saw with Bearman's penalty today. He was the one who spun because of the contact and yet he was the one who was punished because the contact was his fault
A complete joke that McLaren, Merc, VCARB and Haas get off almost scott free for breaking the rules. It makes no sense to me that Hamilton got two 5 second penalties in Sochi 2020 for doing a practice start from the wrong spot in the pitlane but shit like this goes unpunished. At least the top 3 should have gotten time penalties because they are the ones who instigated it.
No. McLaren never told Norris to stay. It seemed like he went as soon as he heard and saw aborted start and the next thing Will tells him is recharge on. The teams who got it right specifically told their drivers to stay put and switch off the car.
He's good. Let's hope next year's car is also good
