The current administration is making Humphrey Appleby seem a much better option.

Trouser Python. Technically true, and no-one is going to check.

Maybe there's a reason we prefer tenure civil servants who don't have financial interest at odds with their job?

No research needed. Getting back to the routine, after a suitable period that varies from person to person, is important. But it is not, in itself, healing, and someone who didn't miss a day of work is not doing well.

Oh certainly. But it's treating a symptom, not the actual problem.

That's not healthy, though. That's repression, which is bad for you. I know it's bad for you, as I have not had more than six emotions in the past 20 years.

I don't think 29 year olds are millennial, are they? Or is this an older meme?

Are we expecting the Democratic party to actually support him? Seems the national leadership would rather see someone else in his spot.

Can Trump prove his citizenship, if this policy goes through?

Naked Prisoners (startrek.website)

Is there an easier way to get clothing for a prisoner than drafting a pawn and having them strip in the cell before walking naked back to the cloths storage?

Has anyone here participated in the Fairborn Community Gardens in the past? I'm trying to get an idea of what the "normal" approach is, and what the general expectations are.

New to this whole Lemmy platform, but I'm liking it.

One problem I'm having is auto-play videos when I open some discussions. Not in the comments, but the post itself starts playing.

I'll skip my usual rant about what I think should be done to whoever decided to make that a feature, and just ask how to turn it off. I have "auto expand media" unchecked in my lemmy settings.

I appreciate any advice.
