Brazil has a ton of kei trucks! Mainly because they're very cheap and yet can carry a fuckton of weight. With the price you pay for a RAM 3500 here you can buy 5 Kia Bongos and carry 10x the amount of cargo.
This is an Acer Aspire ES1-512 with integrated Intel graphics, so I am still betting it's likely the RAM stick that decided it didn't want to be alive anymore. Luckily for me I can get a new 8 GB DDR3L stick for like 12 USD.
It's a single stick :|
Only type of laptop I find acceptable :>
I'm thinking it might be RAM cause when I booted it early today it had a similar corruption happen just as I opened a few tabs on Firefox, then it wouldn't start. I fully charged it and tried to start again, and it was working fine until the login screen, whereas it corrupted again and resulted in the photo I took.
The power light keeps flashing when I turn it on now, so I suspect it might be RAM failure.
I'm gonna try to shove a Linux Mint distro on it. But if this error happens again I'll know it's the RAM and will take measures to replace it.
EDIT: Seems like the power led keeps flashing on and off, so that's probably it...
I was using Windows 11 before cause I wanted to use the Xbox app so I could get Rewards points if I left my gaming PC, but with the bad quality of the SSD installed on it I might just shove Linux Mint on it and call it a day. My only usage intention is programming/browsing the web. And if I ever get a bigger SSD I could just use a Windows virtual machine to run the Xbox App on.
Oh, don't get me wrong. I actually like the game, otherwise I would be playing something else. I just dislike the way the community has dragged it into a dumb direction because of the devs actively choosing to put Shipment on every game since MW2019. Most players now literally have an aneurysm if they don't fight someone within 5 seconds of spawning.
That kinda turns it into futuristic GTA, doesn't it? I like that CP2077 is in first person.
I feel like I should bring back this timeless Tumblr post. I do not want internet on any of my appliances, and nobody should.
