My work phone is an iPhone. It's fine. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ The camera is great, even compared to my pixel. The thing that drives me nutty is all of the ads. I love having ReVanced and xManager on my personal phone.

Every. single. action. is. so. tedious. The second I tried to place my first path and build an enclosure, I knew I was in over my head.

I understand the finicky controls are what allow people to build incredible, elaborate structures. But I don't want to spend 12 hours designing a crystal monkey enclosure.

Planet Zoo.

As a kid who grew up playing Zoo Tycoon, I was STOKED for a new Zoo management game. I even built a whole new computer to run it.

Turns out it's more of a 3-D modeling program than a management/simulation game. And I don't have the time or patience to figure it out.

Upvote when it's a hot take I agree with. It's gotta be a hot take though. Not the most popular opinion.

Aaaaand that's it. Literally everything else I just read and move on.

"Derry Girls" and "Pen15" are both hilarious and perfectly capture the awkwardness of being a teenage girl. I actually had to ask my husband to leave the room during Pen15, because it felt like he was watching footage of my most embarrassing moments.

Edit to add: if you have HBO, we've also really been enjoying "The Righteous Gemstones". It's about a family that runs a megachurch. "White Lotus", which is about rich people on vacation, isn't really what I would call a lightheaded comedy... but it's definitely funny! Especially the first season.

All of them. ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ

But seriously, I feel like Seasons is an essential. If you like building, Tiny Living and Dream Home Decorator are great. Gameplay wise... idk they all kind of suck and feel samey after a while. And all of them are broken in their own way.

Matcha. ๐Ÿคค The closest Asian market is 30 minutes away, so I usually make it myself.

One. I am a dumb dumb and don't quite understand the point of being on multiple instances. Also so many of them are weirdly... ideological??

Honestly I just order from Target. I know the products are legit, and I can usually do same day pickup.

(Lately I've preferred to shop in person. The stereotype is true -- once you become a mom, getting a Starbies and walking around Target becomes your self-care.)

Huh. I call Lemmy users "Lemmers". Is "Lemmies" the agreed term?

HBO = my brain thinks Game of Thrones, Sopranos, The Last of Us, Band of Brothers, Chernobyl. Literally decades and decades of quality premium content.

MAX = porn. My brain immediately associates the name with porn. Idk why.

When I was a kid everyone talked to me about online stranger danger. The real threat was my best friend's sixteen-year-old cousin who thought it would be super funny and edgy to show us rotten.com.

I still think about the meat grinder picture. โ˜น๏ธ

I usually start with Food Wishes, Serious Eats, or the New York Times. Julia Child for French food, Just One Cookbook for Japanese food. Budget Bytes when the bank account is looking a little thin. Dessert Person when I have a lot of time and want to knock the socks off my friends.

My baby has started laughing and it's the best!
