You're right, but all of that doesn't equate to the US "saving" Europe. We should be grateful for every single nation that contributed to ending the suffering in Europe at the time, so I find it a bit disingenuous to only name the US when we talk about these events.

Your take is quite reasonable, but can we please collectively stop regurgitating this "the US saved Europe in WW1/WW2" nonsense? It's crazy how much they influenced our perception of history to the point where some of us genuinely believe they were our saviours.
