Two factors explain this discrepancy – one, misclassified shootings; and two, overlooked incidents. Regarding the former, the CPRC determined that the FBI reports had misclassified five shootings: In two incidents, the Bureau notes in its detailed write-up that citizens possessing valid firearms permits confronted the shooters and caused them to flee the scene. However, the FBI did not list these cases as being stopped by armed citizens because police later apprehended the attackers. In two other incidents, the FBI misidentified armed civilians as armed security personnel. Finally, the FBI failed to mention citizen engagement in one incident.

Never let your government disarm you. They dont have your interests at heart.

Magnesium chloride also works well as a dust suppressant. I used to manufacture the stuff

You're right, I don't support gun control. As a populace, we have a right to our arms, and any attempt to remove them must be opposed.

Some people vote rep solely for gun rights. There's a lot of people like that

I know, that's why I said stats from places like GVA or Everytown tend to include those shootings in their numbers.

Again, the vast majority or mass murders are committed with handguns. Those stats that say we've had more shootings than days bin the year always include handgun murders.Banningg assault rifles won't noticeably decrease the number of mass shootings.

Assault rifles also constitute a miniscule percentage of gun crime, and yey they're still the specter that legislators go for. To me that just says the people wanting to legislate away our rights aren't informed enough to make these decisions. Thus they spout nonsense

This comment betrays a lack of understanding around 3d printed firearms.

Of course there are your (nearly) fully plastic single shots like the Harlot that fire small calibers and dont always last long.

On the other hand, there's plastic lowers (the only part considered a firearm and thus the onlynpart that needs to be bought through an FFL) for AR15s that use off the shelf plumbing supplies for the pressure bearing components.

The files are readily available and able to be printed on low end FDM printers with little adjustment and troubleshooting completely bypassing the need to purchase a firearm from a dealer.

From what I've seen of hexbear users in the wild, we wouldn't lose much by defederating. Their shitposting and general antagonism to anyone right of Stalin adds nothing to instances beyond their own

I don't see what being trans has to do with their shitty takes and general tankie-ness

Of what she says is true, it sounds like they really did do what they could for the man.
