I 100% believe it. I hardly see birds anymore and that’s probably due to the insect population collapsing.

I remember beetle bags full in them summer and tons of fireflies at night. Once my sister collected hundred of ladybugs in some tall grass

We also used to always have ticks on us from the tall grass.

I always was taught that too. Maybe it was an old rule or maybe it’s after a certain time. Maybe it was never true and just something my parents taught me.

Also, maybe Kamala and Colbert didn’t actually have alcohol in the can

For some reason the first game does not run on pcsx on my steamdeck. It just freezers

Maybe it’s a bad file. I don’t think these games need remastering.

I live overseas so I’m eligible for an absentee ballot.

I filled it out and submitted it a few weeks ago.

It was all done through the government website for my state and email.

Couldn’t be easier.

(Not in US) just 20 minutes ago I had to drive in the bike lane.

It’s not my fault though, the city also marked it as the turning lane.

If I didn’t drive in the bike lane to make a turn, I would have been ticketed.

Yes, there were traffic enforcers standing at that corner. (During rush hour, they are everywhere.)

I think you are 100% correct. Look at the iPad, it’s way overpowered for how limited iPadOS is.

Making a new cpu each year is probably really expensive and they come with marginal differences.

Apple can offer marginal iPhone processor increases and then take a few generations of marginal upgrades to release a new Mac processor with a bigger power jump.

Yeah, it’s pretty lame.

I’d be ok if they just swapped the screen and maybe added a better power source. But all they are doing is putting another computer in it.

I tried to go hard on privacy, but the more you know the more you realize how difficult it is.

So, the best thing to do if figure out who you don’t want to see your info. If it’s the government then you are basically out of luck in my opinion.

I stopped stressing about it when I decided to not let my need for privacy to interfere with my work.

In my personal life, things are more private luckily.

Yeah, there is a way to get modern macOS running on it unofficially. I’m debating between that and just putting Linux on it.

Look at the 2016 MacBook Pro.

They had a problem with the display cable and it can’t be easily replaced since it’s soldered to the display.

You basically just need to get an entirely new display even though it’s just the cable.

Additionally, some shops will resolder the cable, but it’s not a long term solution.

Even replacing the display by Apple is not a long term solution because they replace it with another display that has a cable that’s slightly too short and will eventually break again.

So the only real solution is to buy a new computer.
