Yep. He is dialed in to the right-wing grievance politics message. You and I may think he sounds like an idiot but to the “my gender is attack/helicopter” crowd he generally hits all the notes perfectly.

But that’s the problem. He doesn’t bring anything outside of those who are already 100% tuned in.

What’s the over/under on him getting asked to withdraw as the VP now that it’s Kamala instead of Joe since he doesn’t really bring anything to the ticket than more smooth talking MAGA talking points?

Baja Blast and Code Red are the exceptions to that, otherwise hard agree.

The New York court naming scheme is weird.

My guess is that everyone is backing Harris, the remaining announcements are just there to draw out the news to milk the news cycle to her advantage.

Yep sorry, I meant post filtering. Subscribed is right. I confused myself when I was jumping back and forth to get the right wording for the sections.

You unfortunately have to play by the rules of the game as it exists before you can have the control to change the rules for the future.

What’s selected in Settings -> Content -> Default Comment Filtering?

She cant be VP, it’s tacky to nominate your VP to the Supreme Court. ;)

I’ve been thinking that this would be an intriguing matchup. A prosecutor against someone running to escape prosecution and Buttigieg is super quick and would be a great counterpoint for JD Vance.

Harris has given some great speeches lately and seems much more engaging than before.

I was reading somewhere that this really only affects a tiny number of people because there were other charges that they chose not to charge some of them with and now can use that instead, and this was only one charge amongst many that will keep others that were already charged in jail. I was really surprised when I learned about that that. This isn’t a situation where a bunch are going to get out now because of this.

Edit: this wasn’t it, but is a has a portion of the details. https://www.npr.org/2024/06/28/nx-s1-5022883/supreme-court-hands-a-victory-to-some-january-6-defendants

It was more a joke about the people who keep uploading videos of them “offroading” in their cybertrucks (trying to justify their purchase) and it’s really no different than a whole lot of actual rural roads that people drive on daily with their 20 year old two wheel drives sedans.
