You arent kidding. I've been trying to justify spending $275 on some Super Red Ember Bees or "settle" for $150 on six Blonde Rubber Ducky isopods.

I have absolutely no idea how he kept his feet on that board during the slide under the wall. Actually amazing.

oh man, the trams. I am partially deaf in one ear and trying to hear the difference between the audio ques was infuriating.

Maybe I'm being a bit of a perv and have spent too much time on the internet but this feels unnecessarily sexual, unintended or otherwise.

Love the floating bros in the background though. Cool design.

it's so perfect my brain is having a hard time believing it's real.

I'm running Action Launcher mainly for the alphabetized app drawer that pulls out from the left side of the screen and the "Covers" feature.

Clicking on Instagram opens up Instagram. Swiping up on it reveals the folder with all my social apps hidden inside. Nearly every icon is a cover.

Keeps all my apps really quick to access without cluttering up my screen. I only have the one home screen, no need for other pages with this feature and and frequently used app drawer that pops in from the right.

I'm using an icon pack called "Viral".

I've been using a bunch of abstract backgrounds I generated using Midjourney a while ago. This is my current use one.

I can't remember where I found this one, I've had it for a while, probably by searching "Oled phone wallpaper".

Cool at a distance, eldritch horror nightmare when zoomed in.

I work in a customer facing position in the US where factions of an inch are used for measurements frequently in the design of a product. I deal with people who don't know 5/8 is smaller than 3/4 or that 3/8 is smaller than 1/2 on literally a daily basis.

People are dumb and I absolutely believe the burger anecdote.

I landed myself a solid salary job as a head of a department and as a reward my wife gave me permission to go wild with a new Keeb.

Enter the blue beauty.

Mode Sonnet - Navy body, brass bass, brass internal weight. Internal silicone mat, foam kit, POM plate, Durock V2 Gold Stabilizers.

Gateron Oil King linear switches.

GMK Blue Samurai doubleshot ABS Keycaps.

I am in love with looks and feel of this thing and can wait to put in some hours in front of the computer with it.

I got a new camera and my cats have been patiently dealing with being in front of the camera nearly constantly.

I'm currently stuck at home with a lower back injury looking for low impact stuff to keep me busy so I had my wife swing through the dollar store and buy me a bunch of colored paper stock and foam board as well as some fake sticky-back tiles. Used some lights I had lying around from my days as a mechanic and I don't think it turned out too bad.

Sorry if this is not the right place to ask this kind of question, my options on Lemmy are kind of limited.

I play around a lot with experimental types of music and have been using a series of poly-rythm soundscapes that I have created for sleep aid. A couple of friends tried out the stuff I created and said it was amazing for sleep and relaxation.

This gave me the idea for an app that created the poly-rythm soundscapes using simple(ish) formulas that allowed the user to change the scale, scale mode, duration, ambient effects, and poly-meter type to suit their preferences.

I am currently injured and am on disability so have all time and boredom in the world to throw into this project.

My entire programming experience was a single semester of Visual Basic in 2003.

Where would I begin to bring something like this into existence? Thanks in advance.

I started both these from leftovers from other aquascaping projects just to see what would happen. Both have had major die off both in clean up crew and plants but are somehow still trudging along.

The small one has some algae, hair moss, and (surprisingly) an anubias petit nana hanging onto life.

My large one has had almost complete die off's and only a single plant has survived that I have not quite been able to identify. Looks like some sort of microsword. I glued some cheap USB powered LED's into the lid before sealing off the whole thing with some silicone. I don't run them very often, pretty much just on the weekends, but I'm still surprised they have lasted as long as they have.

This started out life as an aquascaping tank with various types of shrimp and a dwarf lobster. Life happened and I was no longer able to keep up with trimming the various plants and it went crazy.

Eventually I gave up and after the Lobster died I decided to convert it to a closed system just to see what would happen and taped the lid shut to prevent evaporation.

Much to my surprise it has been going really strong. There has been a couple of die offs when moving to different parts of the country but it bounces back pretty quickly. Much better than my other two ecosphere's.

Context: I currently have a back injury and as such my sleep schedule has been destroyed. There are days that I simply cannot get comfortable no matter where I sit/lie.

The other night I was restless and couldn't get comfortable but was feeling tired. I wanted to brew myself a cup of tea but as luck would have it we had run out of fill-able tea bags. I pulled out the metal tea infusers and found that due to an improper cleaning at last use and who knows how long they had been sitting idle they were absolutely disgusting. Some had mold spots and one appeared to be rusting (how aluminum rusts I don't know).

I REALLY wanted my tea so I busted out my cleaning tools and got to work. She woke up to use the restroom and heard me in the kitchen and made it a point to call me out for being weird and that no one in their right mind would be doing what I was doing.

Is that a fair assessment? I only spent about 50 minutes cleaning them.

I am aware that I have issues. Please try to not judge me too hard for the state of the before image.
