According to NPR today the families won’t receive money. They will get work visas and an interview with an asylum officer. No actual compensation for the years of trauma caused by being separated from your kids or parents. It’s monstrous. The explanation on why there is no financial compensation was that the republicans were against the cost. They are truly evil people. The absolute lack of humanity makes me physically sick.

After seeing your posts and looking up begleri, I decided to try it. It’s fun to learn, but definitely a skill you have to develop. The tricks look easy until you actually attempt them. I do enjoy just wrapping it around my fingers while I’m sitting around at work though. Thanks!

After exporting my photos for migration to Synology, Google gave me 95 2GB zip files to download. I tried downloading directly into my mapped network drive, but the speed was super slow. My tip for you is if you are familiar with docker, you can spin up a Firefox container and map your desired network drive to the container. If you download from the Docker container, it will use the NAS's wired internet connection rather than your PC's WiFi connection. It is a much faster process, cutting it from days to hours for me. I'm sure most of you would have thought of this right away, but after 25 manual downloads, this was a huge relief for me.

Not in the US. You have to actually have access to trains to be able to die while riding them.

Is anyone willing to share a docker compose and config file for a qbittorrent, qbit manage, and cross seed stack? I'm having trouble figuring out how to get them all to play nicely together.

I stopped in the middle of the first one. It was too much work to keep track of what was happening. Maybe I’ll try again.

Is that the one with all the complicated relationships? I found it a little too detailed on that point, but otherwise a good read. I wouldn’t read it again though. I read Rendezvous With Rama around the same time and liked that a lot more.

Thanks. I’m trying.

The third world government of Texas for one. Whether they target my kid or not, better safe than sorry.

Aside from what the other commenter said, this is something I’m looking for for my daughter and believe it or not she prefers an app.

Also, this is the self hosted community. People self host all kinds of stupid shit. Why are you here?

With the stories about data from period tracking apps being shared with law enforcement, I was wondering if there was a self hosted alternative I could host for my daughter. My searches so far have not returned any good results. Thanks!

Because we seem to value punishment over rehabilitation or even justice, most people in Texas will be very happy to hear about this change. They see prisoners more like animals than human. For example, most Texas prisons don’t have air conditioning. Imagine being in a room at 100+ degrees and high humidity with no fan. How long until you snap?
