If I were LTT, I would've asked Billet Labs if its okay to reveal that number (not that it's even relevant) and if I didn't have time to wait, would've erred on the side of caution.

But like LTT said, they're still them. So I don't think it'll get better going forward since they're doing what looks to me really closely like doing whatever they can to look good despite it potentially hurting others (who they've already wronged).

Now this makes a lot more sense than what I've read here! I can understand the ire.

Everyone vocal on "your side" seem to have really limited world view and generally just bad attitude. No one seems to be willing to even explain the logic behind why this is wrong or at least show some understanding of the problem.

Edit. And by "you" I don't mean pirates, do what you want, but the people complaining about an instance protecting themselves from possible legal trouble.

You think recruiting new blood is the biggest hurdle right now?

Hopefully they realize it's not healthy for Wikipedia in long term and make a course correction.

No idea how they work internally but probably some kind of mentoring program would be in order. There's no way someone relatively new will learn all their quirks that have been developed in the past decade and too many people on the internet expect you to know everything already to be worth a shit to them.

Thanks for the insight.

Yep mistakes happen of course but most if not all of the time it's just neglect.

That's true but in these cases has the gun actually ever been properly stored in a locked safe and the kid nicked the key or something?

No, calling protective measures fascism/thought controlling/etc is in fact closer to thought controlling than that in itself. And besides you can easily bypass this ban, which wasn't done in secret but with a public announcement.

Just... grow up or come up with a real point.
