I've called, emailed, and mailed letters to my "Representative" Darin LaHood. All emails and letters go unanswered and his staff laughed and hung up on me when I called the last time. So instead of wasting my time and energy on appealing to him, I emailed the man that is running to unseat him: Paul Nolley.

Paul called me back, personally, THAT SAME NIGHT. We're working together to bring Paul to my little town in a series of meet-and-greets over the next year and a half, and hopefully foster some support for him in my little red area.

I'm someone that is concerned about integrity of future elections (or even having them at all), but I figure it's better to have a strong candidate with name recognition ready to go, than not to.

If you live in a red district, are sick of your representative's shit, and there's someone running to unseat them, reach out! They're chomping at the bit to get their name and face out there, and are likely to make the trip to meet people in places that politicians usually ignore.

I have received many job solicitations because I keep my resume updated but never have I seen any of those questions. Because the healthcare field does utilize a lot of Philippino nursing assistants and nurses, once in awhile I'll get a random "do you require sponsorship?" question, but they are few and far between. My guess is they are attempting to cast a wide web. Im a registry aide, so I pick up shifts as needed all over the place in already severely understaffed buildings. I told my husband the other day, that I was just waiting for the day that they raided a nursing home and left an already understaffed building empty of any staff in the middle of the night.

Maybe I should have done more reading further back, but this is all happening in the dark. And as they say - democracy dies in the dark.

If you read about Curtis Yarvin it will all make sense - everything that Trump and his people are doing. They are all supporters of Yarvin's ideas on changing the US gov't. An excerpt from the wikipedia article:

"Yarvin has been described as a "neo-reactionary", "neo-monarchist" and "neo-feudalist" who "sees liberalism as creating a Matrix-like totalitarian system, and who wants to replace American democracy with a sort of techno-monarchy".^([11])^([12])^([13])^([14]) He has defended the institution of slavery, and has suggested that certain races may be more naturally inclined toward servitude than others.^([3])^([15]) He has claimed that whites have higher IQs than black people, and opposes US civil rights programs."

And while many critical thinkers can see that Trump is definitely operating as someone who wants to be a dictator/king, many can't see it because they are still thinking along the lines of Americans who seem to believe that no American President would want that, that he couldn't be so anti-patriotic.

JD Vance, Trump, Elon, et al, are essentially trying to incorporate Yarvin's philosophy into the federal government, or basically trying to create an American King/CEO/Dictator.

The fact that most people haven't even heard of Yarvin is crazy. His writings are at the root of all of this - DOGE, everything! Cutting programs, removing federal employees... installing a monarchy run by tech bro's. People need to know root cause of all of this. Then maybe they'll believe and fight back. How do we get all this out??
