How do you compete with the pixel if Google locks you out of features.

These people can’t get a break can they.
I always thought if youtube pushes the anti ad policy too hard they risk alienating the tech people who will end up on another platform which will start growing much faster. What they do is come up with half assed ad blocking. So casual people and people on locked systems like iPhone YouTube app are forced to watch ads.
Anyone not bothered by ads or Lacy enough will make Google money by watching ads. So they’re squeezing as much money without going too far. If they wanted to, they could have ads which would be unblock-able.
No dark mode? God damn philistines
Difference beingng if you have a shower though long enough it doesn’t make your ear feel sore.
Reddits quality main appeal also is its past threads whereas on Twitter is rarely about what was tweeted but rather what’s the latest thing that’s happening.
Lemmy will need time and it might never replace reddit. But I look forward to the quality interactions with everyone here!

Thank you. I also can’t stand people who keep saying out loud I’ve never needed a quadratic equation why doesn’t the school teach me how to do taxes. For one thing if you didn’t have to ever use a quadratic then you never understood maths enough to apply it and walk away from the problem. Secondly if school taught you taxes ups be the one complaining the most about why you have to do taxes in school.
