Centurri's style is heavily influenced by manga so it's probably intended to be read right to left.

Its definitely a balance. Good code shouldn't need much commenting, but sometimes you have to do something for a reason that isn't immediately obvious and that's when comments are most useful. If you're just explaining what a snippet does instead of why you're doing it that way, there's probably more work to be done.

Not a small community by any means. It inherently is opposed to the unnecessarily large and wasteful models of corporations. But when people just lump i al l under "AI", the actually useful local models are the ones most likely to get harmed while Google, meta, and the other megacorps will be able to operate with impunity.

I don't know the exact metrics of Lemmy but I'd wager it skews US centric. Just block the people posting them, it works.
