I'm no phycisist but I'd bet that the claim "it consumes no energy" is almost certainly false. I get what they mean but this isn't exactly a honest way to describe it.

My theory is that if we split people into two groups - those who hit snooze and those who don’t - and dropped them on a desert island to survive, one group would rebuild civilization while the other descended into chaos and perished.

Humans are not getting any better at driving. Self-driving cars will eventually lead to tens of thousands of human lifes saved annually. Why do you want to prevent this?

I don't get how it is so hard for people to admit that some number of the "Pro Palestine" people are motivated by antisemitism just the same way Hamas is. Not everyone, but some, and the rest turn a blind eye to it.

Interesting how the response in comments entirely depends on whose doing the torturing despite the fact that in both cases we're still talking about the same group of civilians.
